As we’ve all seen in the news,Hurricane Ian ripped through Florida recently — shearing a path of destruction across the state. Particularly devastated — Florida’s West Coast.

With his extensive background as a diesel generator tech, our current Rockstar house technician Wayne Graunstadt recognized the desperate need of his fellow Floridians, and he sprung into action — posthaste. Immediately, Wayne packed up and headed to the storm-ravaged West Coast, where he’s remained, assisting the area in getting their power restored ASAP.Here at Rockstar Automotive, we applaud Wayne for his effort and we support him fully in his self-less mission. Bravo, Wayne!

Rockstar Automotive owner, Thomas Gerding, is driven by TWO passions in life – providing first-rate auto repairs and consuming world-class rock and roll. But since first launching his successful Melbourne, Florida business last fall, he’s been so focused on the former, that he’s not had much time to pursue the latter.

So, it’s only fitting that Thomas’ Rockstar Automotive operation will be closed for business – ONE DAY ONLY – on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Why? Well, it’s “Urgent.”

Yes, one of Thomas’ all-time favorite bands, Foreigner, will be performing on that day at the popular Universal theme park in Orlando. And in solemn observance of this personal rock and roll holiday, Thomas and his GF Amy are planning to create and enjoy a day-long getaway excursion – one filled with sun and fun, heart-stopping rides and fist-pumping rock!

Boasting an array of timeless, chart-busting hits from “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold as Ice” and “Hot Blooded” to “Dirty White Boy,” “Juke Box Hero” and “Urgent,” Foreigner truly is an iconic rock band – and Thomas and Amy will no doubt have a great time at the concert. But be sure, he WILL be back to work, doing what he does best, first thing Monday morning.

Over the last decade, SigFest has established a distinguished reputation as one of the premier charity events on Florida’s Space Coast. Located in Palm Bay, Florida, Siggy’s American Bar launched the annual marathon production back in 2014 to honor the memory of the business’ co-founders, David and Shawn Sigafoos, by continuing the financial support of the local missions for which the two men possessed much passion.

Rolling out at Siggy’s on Saturday, February 25th, the 2023 edition of Sigfest promises to once again be a massive event. Siggy’s resident DJ, Christopher Long, kicks off the 14-hour music festival and fundraiser with an early bird all-request pre-show party at noon. By 1pm, the venue will be booming with the sounds of live music from some of the area’s favorite bands; Last Call Band, Phoenix Band, Whiskey Ju Ju, The Day After and Bullet Theory — along with TWO must-see tribute bands; Gregg & the Jets (Elton John tribute) and Whiplash (Metallica tribute).

Along the way, partygoers also will enjoy a bounty of delicious foods and an array of tasty treats. There also will be loads of prizes, raffles and auctions — well into the night. PLUS, admission is FREE.

It’s been estimated that over the years, Sigfest has raised in excess of $100,000 for various local causes. Rockstar Automotive once again is a proud corporate sponsor of Sigfest — partnering this year with the folks at Carroll Distributing , Tritt Productions and Squeegie Studio Graphic Design .

CHRISTMAS 2022 FOOD & TOY DRIVE The Home Stretch!

Since our first day in business, back in 2017, Rockstar Automotive has remained committed to our community, year-round — especially at Christmastime. Thanks to our generous customers, this year, our annual holiday food and toy drive is shaping to be our biggest yet. Although we’re in the ol’ “home stretch,” it’s not too late to participate in our Yuletide mission and really knock it out of the park this season.

From now ’til 2pm, Thursday, December 22nd, we’ll be collecting canned food items and unwrapped toys for one of our favorite local charities, Genesis House , in Melbourne, FL. By 2:15 on Thursday, one of our Rockstar reindeer reps will be en route (mini van loaded), to drop the entire donation off at the Genesis door — just in time for Christmas. OUR MILESTONE 5th ANNIVERSARY!

A popular conception is that if you can survive the first five years in business, you’re probably home free. At Rockstar Automotive, we’re blessed and grateful to have survived AND thrived. Since first opening our doors on September 27, 2017, we’ve survived all the usual business growing pains, as well as multiple hurricanes and even a global pandemic.

Along the way, we have connected with the incredible community here on Florida’s (typically) sunny Space Coast — developing valuable relationships with loyal customers who also have become our friends.

Speaking of connection and community, the Rockstar Automotive story can oddly be traced back to the ’80s, ’90s and early ’00s when the Melbourne, FL-based Clouser family owned and operated Clouser Automotive. Following the passing of family patriarch, Mr. Clouser, his children were instrumental in transferring the operation and property over to new owner, Thomas Gerding. And so began the Rockstar Automotive story. We continue to be grateful to the Clouser’s for helping to make our vision become a reality.

Our business philosophy is simple — we care about our customers. We care about providing our customers with consistent reliable, professional service. And by remaining focused on that mission, we look forward to serving the Space Coast for years to come.

As we celebrate our milestone fifth anniversary, our hometown once again endured a massive storm — Hurricane Ian. Our Rockstar family pulled through it all safely, and we hope yours did as well.
